The Story of The Three Graces

Old World Treasures

Based near Austin and with an office in Houston, Texas, The Three Graces specializes in providing its clients, both near and far, access to rare antique jewelry and fine period and estate jewelry. In its seventh year of business, the focus is upon showcasing only antique, period jewelry (no reproductions) crafted prior to about 1940. Having an e-boutique is the means to concentrate on the collections - the jewelry itself and our clients and customers.

A majority of the collections range from the 18th century right up to the earlier 20th century, but even medieval rings, Renaissance and 17th century pieces come up for sale all the way to the jewelry of the Retro era of the 1940s.

Wedding and diamond engagement rings attract great attention, as modern brides seek out a token beyond the typical store-bought solitaire. Layers of meaning, sentiment and tradition hold their place alongside superb design and construction.

The ever-rotating collection often spotlights lover’s eye and portrait miniatures, mourning and sentimental jewelry, pieces crafted from cut-steel, antique paste, and Stuart crystals, and many from Spanish or Portuguese descent. In addition, antique diamonds such as early table, rose cuts and old-mine and antique European diamonds are prominent in many pieces. Emeralds, sapphires and rubies continue to inspire. Other materials – coral, jet, garnets, and turquoise – are just a few of the types of precious and semi-precious elements found within offerings of The Three Graces.

Furthermore, the site showcases pieces for a range of investors. Prices range from the modest $200 – with many treasures costing between $600 and $5,000 and upward for the true collector and lover of the ultimate.

New World Technology

Providing immediate and international access to jewelry seldom found in most boutiques, The Three Graces fills a niche in the accessory market that attracts devotees. Once clients discover us, they purchase again and again. It almost borders on obsession, many customers profess checking the site as part of their morning routines - and won't miss a day.

Based on the web, with no physical shop, this virtual storefront is a perfect way to showcase our rapidly changing collections and present it to a worldwide audience. An audience who appreciates that each piece is as individual as they are.

Because of the enthusiasm of its clientele – hailing from as far away as the U.K., Holland, Switzerland, Japan, Italy, France, Sweden and Australia – The Three Graces is always trying to outdo itself in the rarity and the sheer beauty of its offerings, posting new images and descriptions almost daily, possible only with the flexibility of the web. Educating patrons is a prime focus, and our website is a perfect medium, combining a broad reach with the ease of disseminating information by visual means as well as through the written word.

Wellspring of Inspiration

Our name is inspired by a seventeenth century enamel slide bracelet painted with a stunning image that is presumed to be the Three Graces. Our logo and its imagery are based upon that bracelet’s poetic scene.

In Greek mythology, the Three Graces are the personification of joy, charm and beauty in human life and, indeed in all of nature. In some interpretations their attributes are beauty, gentleness and friendship. They are said to love all things beautiful and to bestow talent upon mortals. Together with the Muses, they serve as the source of inspiration in poetry and the arts. The Three Graces serve as our inspiration to bring to you all things exceptional.
